Board-Certified Allergy, Immunology & Rheumatology Care with Dr. Julie Patel and Our Care Team

Dr. Julie Y. Patel is board certified in Allergy & Immunology, Rheumatology, and Internal Medicine. She provides comprehensive care for adults with allergic, immunologic, and rheumatologic diseases, including environmental allergies, asthma, chronic sinus and nasal symptoms, hives, immune disorders, inflammatory arthritis, osteoporosis, and autoimmune diseases.

Dr. Patel received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry from Tulane University and her Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. She completed her Internal Medicine residency followed by combined fellowship training in Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine, where she also earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in Clinical Investigation.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Patel served as Chief of Rheumatology at Ben Taub Hospital and Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director in the Section of Immunology, Allergy & Rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.

Her practice emphasizes careful diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and individualized care for patients with both common and complex immune-mediated diseases.
